Adventuring to the great outdoors is fun, affordable, and great for the whole family—even your dog. Fortunately, many campgrounds and RV parks are Fido friendly, offering amenities such as fenced dog parks and plenty of walking trails. Here are, in our opinion, the best destinations for dog friendly camping.Â
4 Paws Kingdom Campground
Rutherfordton, NC
First on our list is 4 Paws Kingdom Campground. Located in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this retreat is the first and only one dedicated to man’s best friend. Fully equipped with an enclosed pond, off-leash dog parks, agility courses, and self-service grooming, there is no shortage of amenities to get your dog’s tail wagging. It’s not all about the dogs though, the campground offers full hook-up RV sites, free WIFI, and cable TV. On top of all the amenities, 4 Paws Kingdom boasts a packed event calendar with loads of fun planned every weekend. Â

With nearly 500 locations across North America, Kampgrounds of America is an great dog lover destination wherever you’re located. The majority of sites have Kamp K9 dog parks, and select locations include pet waste stations, fresh water and separate areas for large and small dogs. While KOA rates vary, pets always stay for no additional fee.
